Jeff Schuman

Director

Jeff’s experience includes over 35 years of originating and administering commercial lending relationships including significant knowledge of commercial real estate transactions. As a lifelong resident of southeast Michigan, Jeff began his commercial banking career with Michigan National Bank. Industry mergers and consolidations provided subsequent opportunities to work with Bank of America, Comerica, LaSalle, FirstMerit and Huntington Banks. Titles ranged from Credit Analyst to Senior Relationship Manager to Senior Vice President and Group Manager, but in every instance the principal objective was the same; meet your prospects’ and clients’ needs and become their trusted advisor.

In the middle of his banking career, Jeff pivoted outside the world of commercial banking into the role of Vice President of Finance for a southeast Michigan based commercial real estate developer. Living and working as a borrower provided Jeff a perspective which he used to differentiate himself when he decided to return to the commercial banking world.

Over time Jeff has served on the University of Michigan Dearborn Business School Dean’s Advisory Council, the Cranbrook Museum of Art’s Advisory Committee and as an active leader and board member of his church. He is a graduate of The University of Michigan Dearborn (BBA) and The University of Michigan Ross School of Business (MBA). He resides in Northville, MI. and is married with four grown children, one grandson and two dogs.
